I agree. I don't take many of them seriously at all, but almost all of them just charm me in some special way. Not the "lol this is so ridic" way (although there's sometimes a bit of that too) but I guess...I just look at them from a very in-universe perspective? I like seeing the characters act that way in those episodes, even if the intent of the writers or the effect of the message is silly.

So, I just found and rewatched some of those scenes on Youtube...and now I really really want fic of Mike dealing with the before and after of being the one who has to tell Carol her boyfriend died.
