I've rarely met a VSE I didnt like. Whether that's Shawn not liking has myself when he drinks (or any of his other myriad issues), Jessie being SO SCARED, Zack and Slater unable to talk to their dads, Will's dad not wanting him, Will getting shot, Carlton's accidental high or Sandy dying after everything looked OK, they're all favorites of mine.

I was legit a bit surprised when they killed off Sandy (aw, bb Matthew Perry). I figured that he would just get to learn a valuable lesson about drunk driving :(

I know, right? And I'll tell you what "Mike Seaver, this is the worst joke you've ever played!"* is a line that's stuck with me since the very first time I heard it.

*Thanks to Youtube, apparently the line is "Michael Seaver that is the sickest joke that I have ever heard, and I am never going to forgive you!" but whataya want after 20 years?

I agree. I don't take many of them seriously at all, but almost all of them just charm me in some special way. Not the "lol this is so ridic" way (although there's sometimes a bit of that too) but I guess...I just look at them from a very in-universe perspective? I like seeing the characters act that way in those episodes, even if the intent of the writers or the effect of the message is silly.

So, I just found and rewatched some of those scenes on Youtube...and now I really really want fic of Mike dealing with the before and after of being the one who has to tell Carol her boyfriend died.
