I think I came in on the middle of that one, where it's just Mike Fox talking to the (offscreen) shrink, right? It was surprising and really cool.

Yep, it was a two parter where his friend died in a car wreck Alex was supposed to be in with him, but Alex was in too much of a mood to go with. Dead Greg guilt. But you also saw great things about Alex and how he felt about the family that was so sweet.
