I agree. A lot of my friends don't like anime, and I co-exist with them peacefully. I don't see why there's this stigma of "with us or against us." Especially considering this OP was fairly nice about it--I wouldn't mind speaking with the person. Respect different opinions!

Like I was telling my sister the other day, my one requirement to a person making my f-list is that either a) I know them in real life, or b) we share at least one fandom. Most of the time, this means that's the only fandom we share. But I'm cool with that. I like seeing what people are into.
