(Anonymous) 2008-01-18 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)Edward is the token sociopathic character from ABVH. The early incarnations of him are a good deal like Diogenes Pendergast: both insane, both have more than one identity, no real friends, like to kill people,
terrible taste in women. They aren't so much alike now that LKH's writing is really going downhill and Dio had his little run in with the volcano (RIP boys T_T), but their characters when they first appeared in their respective series' were almost identical except for appearance, and seeing as Diogenes can put a chameleon to shame with the way he disguises himself...Yeah, appearance isn't a factor. And he had to be somewhere for 20 years while he planned his Ultimate Crime, so why not New Mexico with the occasional trip to St. Louis?
