Oh this is good, I agree with most of this except I thought it was mostly enjoyable. This movie was DEFINITELY not better than the first one but really what is drawing me in is this is my second dose of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner who is just so great.

I think for me what I liked was I just think the Marvel movies are fun so I enjoyed it for the fun & stupid ride that it was. Which was basically the Avengers created their own problems and then had to fix their own problems, the end.

ayrt

Yeah I should've added that I did actually like Bruce Banner a lot in this one. I liked him fine in the first one but it was nice to see his character get a little more breathing room in this one. But I liked most of the main cast well enough, I even liked Tony - but I felt like he should've gotten more of what was coming to him for being full of himself and causing all of this, rather than instantly be forgiven because he inadvertently created Vision. But mostly I wish there were less Tony and more of the other characters.

I think I set my expectations too high, though. I've always loved superheroes and superhero movies but lately (last x number of years) I just don't think any of them are as good, at least not to what I feel their potential is. And idk maybe I just have the wrong mindset with them, I probably just need to relax and try to get in them a little more instead of expecting really quality writng.
