I always found that interesting, I know there's a few lesbians into m/m, and was quite surprised when I first found out. Please don't take that as judgement, it's just one of these things I didn't expect.

I'm a lesbian and I read mostly m/m. For some reason, I just feel awkward reading f/f even though it's the one that I relate to the most for obvious reasons

I can sort of understand - it's just interesting that we might end up consuming the same erotica, even though we have different sexualities. Humans are so cool.

Oh, I definitely agree. I think it's really interesting to think about, especially since a lot people who ship the same types of pairings and share the same sexuality have different motivations for being partial to those types of relationships.

Yeah, that too - if only because they identify more with one part of a ship than the other, or because they have a more voyeuristic approach or whatever.

I always compare it to horses. I find them fun to watch and think about. But I am not interested in touching, riding * and definitely do not want one.

They're just interesting to watch. Also I like the distance ? I don't like it when fics are too close to RL. So m/m always has that tiny bit of distance.

* I may be convinced to ride a horse. No interest in a man tho.
