I’m thankful the only Disney movies I truly like aren’t the fandom darlings, because I find Disney fandom pretty annoying.

And anyway, I find the existence of Stitch spinoffs/sequels other than the first TV series nearly as bad as or worse than if there were a crappy active fandom.

Text: I think people who reblog/like posts from creators’ official accounts that have fewer notes (= more likely for individual note to be noticed) on their blogs that have content inappropriate for creators to see are just 1 step away from being as bad as those who directly send inappropriate things to creators.
Can some creators know to brace themselves before clicking on fans’ blog links? Maybe. Certainly it would be more active of them than seeing what gets sent straight to them. Do they even still look at fans' blogs personally? I don’t know. But I want fans to have some shame, regardless. Stuff doesn’t have to be hands-down wrong for it to be worth hiding.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION ALERT:

I think the MBTI is, while deeply flawed and inherently limited and completely lacking in underlying theoretical framework, more meaningful than tasseaography or astrology.

That said, I'm sorry that it's not something that works for you & I definitely agree that there are people who take it waaaaay too seriously. I find it fun personally but it's just one v messy test.

There’s a BNF who does some pretty good work for the fandom I’m in wrt posting pics and info, and participating in discussions.

But I find the way they disagree with or dismiss other fans rude sometimes. Even when I don’t side with either opinion.

I also suspect it could be a cultural thing, since they’re from a country not well-represented in fandom, or the English-speaking side of the internet. Not that it’s an issue of English, or that it’s an excuse to be rude, but it complicates my opinion on them.

I never do Kickstarters for works of fiction. Way too much potential for disappointment. If a book or a movie has already been published, at least you can check reviews before deciding to get it from the library or buying it.

I'd rather there be less violence against women on TV in general. But if there has to be violence against women shown, then IA, I'd rather more female-on-female violence than male-on-female violence.

I kind of feel ya. I grew up watching all kinds of horror movies. Started with Poltergeist when I was six and then the 80's slasher flicks. I got to see Aliens at the theater...and nothing. Nothing really scared me. Squick? hell yeah but nothing scared me until the Pale Man from Pan's Labyrinth.
