Wait, and they have nothing on pigs? As in pigs are really awesome? Or really terrible?
Terrible. They treat each other like shit and sow's will lay on their babies and crush them to death out of sheer carelessness. I think the rate is about 10% of a pig's litter will be crushed or trampled to death by the mother. It's not like chickens don't fuck up their eggs, but that's an egg even so, not a baby chick.

None of ours were ever in CAFOs and they were still horrible.
