Neither is most of the fandom! Well, not quite, I mean, the "reverse-trap android clone" thing is mostly just a crack theory. But there's quite some number of fanart with him as a girl all the same.

Some of the official art is very confusing. His stupid sweater is more bulky in some of it than Virtue's armor. xD

At this point in the series, I don't think there's any chance of whatever his deep dark secret is going to be turning out to be some sort of hermaphrodite thing. It would be interesting, but entirely too weird to pop up as a subplot unexpectedly for an anime on at prime time.
