19. EXACTLY. I hate Avatar fic, even if it's a flash-forward to keep from the 12-16-year-olds having sex. Doesn't matter. It's still hella creepy.

I hate Avatar fic

You'd be surprised how much good fic there is....if you're willing to check out recommendations and check through avatar_fans instead of fanfiction.net; because frankly, 80%+ of that site [specifically in the Avatar section, though probably in all sections] is BAD fics.

And there are PLENTY of amazing G-T rated fics/drabbles out there.

You just have to be willing to wade through some of the not so great ones.

Nope. I would watch it on Saturday mornings in French on Radio Canada when it was still on. I loved the series a lot. No idea if it's still running because it ended up on a sporatic schedule for a bit here...

I missed the last season here because CN loves to abuse its time schedule. It's not even on reruns anymore, I don't think. And I don't quite love it enough to buy the DVDs. xD

I think a lot more people would be open to it if it had better voice acting and animation. The storyline is perfectly sound.
