Well, I know that too, hell, my friend himself prefers to be on the receiving end, but what I'm saying that it's not usually set in stone should why should it be for fandom too? In the end, it's a mather of preferance

I agree, but the problem is this insistence by 'fans' to say "OMG ALL GAY MEN SWITCH N00B SO WRITE THEM THAT WAY", and yes, it's been said. Alot. Which is not necessarily correct for everyone.

this is me, agreeing with you and just being frustrated.
