16. They do after they see the film. I really shouldn't talk--I saw the George Hearn and Angela Lansbury one AFTER the movie (and preferred it to the movie besides)--but it happens to anything that goes mainstream. I'll take a relatively obscure thing: a book called Coraline is being made into a stop-action movie with Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, French and Saunders, John Hodgman, and more as the cast, and Henry Selick's directing (James and the Giant Peach, Nightmare Before Christmas). Its Tim Burton-esque style is going to attract Tim Burton groupies, and Coraline, a book from my and others' childhoods, may very well go mainstream. Elitist? Very much so. But there's a clandestine joy in obscurity.
23. A few people in my school are starting to obsess over Twilight and New Moon. I've never read it, but I skimmed through Twilight. I really didn't like Meyer's writing style (seen it before, nothing new, I thought it was a little stilted and stiff), and the whole fact that it was an OMG HAWT TEEN VAMPIRE BOY thing kind of irked me, since that's been done in other books. If you want a good vampire book, try Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz. Now that's a novel.
26. IAWTS, though I do love those longfics.
27. Hey, another Twilight secret.
33. Fandom's gotten more and more popular? Really?
34. I love how this secret is 34. And IAWTS.
38. THANK YOU.
42. She CAN use pumps, you know. If you're too squicked out by your first idea.
