About 2 days ago I fainted and cut my chin on my way down, my sister is saying that I should go to the hospital to stitch the wound (about 1 centimeter long), thing is 1, I'm lazy. 2, I don't like hospitals and how much it would cost,but she did say that she would give me some money. 3, I don't mind scars. Though she says that it's really gross I don't think it's that bad? At least from what I can see it's just a bit pink.

Do you think I should listen to her and go already? Will there be other consequences aside from scars if I don't? And although it's just asking for advice thread, do you know any reason blood preassure would drop suddenly to the point of faiting? I eat regularly, I go to sleep late but only when I can get up late in the morning.

Idk. Sometimes when I stand too quickly I can faint. My blood pressure etc are fine so I'm just careful standing up.

For the cut, it doesn't sound worth it to me. If you're not fussed and it's under your chin. That said I was the same opinion of you but then I got a scar on my face and I'm a bit sensitive cause people keep asking about it. So keep that in mind? Baby oil after it's sealed up a bit can reduce scarring. Don't pick at it.

Before I fainted I felt my heartbeat quicken and my head was spinning around and I felt like puking. I did have a headache the day before but it's not the first time it happens so I don't know.

I care that it's still bleeding (not too much, but it does) more than it will leave a scar tbh. I've always though that scars are pretty cool and I don't think it's big enough to gain attention. Even if it does I wouldn't mind people asking.

But don't use it while the wound is open! Pawpaw or aloe Vera ointment can do similar while it's open, helps stop the skin getting too tight.

I do agree scars can be cool. Personally just prefer them not on my face XD

There are lots of reason you could have fainted, so you should go to your GP at least and mention it. Did you go from sitting to standing before it happened? Were you drinking enough water?

I have a scar on the edge of my chin because I didn't get stitches. I was in hospital at the time and one of the junior docs said it wouldn't scar because it was small, but it was pretty deep, so I guess it wasn't held together as it healed, if that makes sense. If you've cleaned it and it's not bleeding or gaping open, you might be able to get away with butterfly closures. They're just funny shaped bandaids that you stick to either side of it to hold it closed while it heals.

After two days? You're too late for stitches, and it'll probably scar if it was deep enough to need them. As for the fainting, definitely talk to your doctor.
