What do you do with them?

Sigh quietly and try to sneak out of the situation.

You should label them as cis male tears and sell them, I hear there's a market for that.

No but really, it sort of depends on why that is? If it's not always been that way, it might be an expression of another problem.

Depends why they're crying.

Are they crying because...

A) Bad hormones/chemical imbalance? Blood test/GP visit.

B) Their life supremely sucks RN and they have an absolutely valid reason to cry all the time? Give them their space and empathize with their sucky situation.

C) (this is less likely, but could be possible) They're crying to manipulate others/get their own way/play the victim when they really aren't? Drop it like it's hot. BE VERY VERY SURE that this is what they are doing, first.

I had a 10 year friendship with C. Finally detonated that bridge a couple months ago.

+2 on C. Well, I'm still demolishing but it is effectively detonated. Feels so fucking good.

But seriously, depends on what they're crying about and how emotional about it they really are. Either let them cry it out and get back to them later or comfort them.

Honestly, pretty much everyone I've associated with who's been teary had very valid reasons for being so. I try to sit quietly in a supportive way, sometimes toss a joke to distract them if it looks like it might help, and let them be sad.

Assess the situation on an individual basis and refuse to buy the bullshit propaganda that crying is a social faux pas that needs to be eradicated. Crying is beneficial, natural, and sometimes a symptom of something that needs to be addressed, but most of all shouldn't be stigmatized just because you find it annoying.

Kill them.

Try to help them, and if that fails, likely gradually remove myself from the relationship.

Depends on the reason. If it's something truly troubling, then I'd try to help or encourage them to get help. If it was for attention or manipulation, I'd cut them out of my life.

I just want to say, as a person who cries a lot more than she wants to, I hate it. I fucking hate it. It drives me absolutely crazy that I'll be angry, or worried, and my eyes start tearing up and I can't make it stop.
It's fucking humiliating.
I tell people to ignore it. I wish people would ignore it. I wish I would stop. I didn't always used to be like this - it started around my 20s, I think it might have been some kind of hormonal change.

And the worst is when people think I'm doing it for attention because seriously fuck the attention I want to not be crying over stupid shit! I hate it so much.
See, just thinking about it my eyes are tearing up in frustration. Fuck everything.

I was going to say pretty much this, though my situation is a little different. I cry a lot but almost never in public because I have a pride complex, and usually will actively leave a situation and get somewhere private if I can. Sometimes I can't though.

And if I ever cry in public (or its obvious I was just crying or whatever) I absolutely want people to ignore it. Ignore it under all circumstances please.

Give 'em something to cry about.
