Well, this is super-overdone in fictional romances, so maybe that's why? Or because in romances, the fight usually more about "omg no they're gonna break up!! :(" whereas with friends the fight is usually more about...you know, the actually subject of the fight.

Not OP, but bonus bonus secret: I ship Ron/Hermione, but to be honest, I ship Harry/Ron/Hermione even more. :) They are also the only OTP I really seriously ship.

Yeah, it bothers me when people go on about how PROGRESSIVE the Kushiel series is, given the way basically all the non straight relationships end up. And Phaedre was among the most insufferable protagonists I've ever seen. She's sooooo beautiful except a SPECK IN HER EYE OH NO. But that also makes her a magic bondage goddess everyone obsesses over? Mmmmkay.
