Oh that's just the start.

Here's some of the shit they started deleting when it got too embarrassing. Guess what, fucksticks, the internet doesn't work that way.

And here's the sort of thing they really object to: Having to even consider the possibility that queers and non-submissive women exist in order to filter that out of their reading lists. Seriously, go read it. That's exactly what they're complaining about: that they can't be assured by their interpretation of the cover that no faggots or uppity wimmen will show up.

So yeah, OP, I'm pretty sure you're real, but even if you're trolling, seriously: go fuck yourself.

but... isn't that #2 exactly the same as all that over-sensitivity about whether people apply trigger warnings? The only difference, really, is that they use that "the good old times" rhetoric.
(To illustrate: I had someone loudly complain about how they dared put sexual assault in sons of anarchy. Now THATs not even "You can't judge a book by its cover anymore!" but another level entirely. Like "I can't trust a story to be a safe space when it all but screams at me that it's not! Mememe!")

And if Brad Torgersen himself was not specifically on the record saying that "safe spaces" and trigger-warnings were bullshit and people should suck it up and deal, then maybe, just maybe, one could present that argument with a straight face.

But he is. So you can't.
