If what fingals meant when she referred to a vocal majority was 'het people', then you're certainly right and I withdraw my statement.

My assumption was that she was referring to people who are vocally opposed to gay marriage, regard homosexuality as intrinsically sinful, etc. And I'm not sure those people are a majority anymore.

Which is really dumb considering the people who wrote that didn't think Homosexuality was a 'sin' in the way they do. It was all about competition, and one of their biggest just happened to be one that had fertility festivals and temple rituals that includes man on man interaction. Hell, sodom wasn't even listed as being evil because of 'the gay' but because they were essentially shitty hosts.

I meant conservatives, actually. Don't worry though, I'm not offended or anything. I just hate when people are like "oh but the tide is turning! things are more liberal because some states allowed same-sex marriage." That's progressive, sure, but not a great indicator of waning conservatism.

Sorry, no, I see where you're coming from now. I was thinking much more specifically of gay rights and gay marriage specifically, not conservatism and politics in general.
