In a way, very much. I went to film school. There were other factors, but yes.

A fandom did, I think? Or two? I used to be big into Law and Order and also The Practice as a kid. So, at one point in college I had this one night where I had like 4 dreams in a row where I was the prosecutor from the Practice. I'd always known I wanted to be involved in some area helping people, but it was that moment that clicked for me that being a lawyer was the best path to what I wanted to do.

No. I'm a teacher. I am a writer but I liked that before I got into fandom.

Sort of.

I've always been very interested in history, but my interest waned for a couple of years in my teens. Then Hetalia entered my life around the time I was applying for uni. For me it was a way to explore history through fandom and not so much about "gay countries" and shipping, and so the fandom really re-awakened my interest in history, so much that I decided to take my BA in it (or rather a joint degree in English and history).

For me it wasn't really the fandom that influenced me to make that choice, but more that it re-ignited my interest.

I'm now a high school level history and English teacher :)

No. My natural abilities and strengths did, my family situation, my mental health, and the classes offered at certain times in my university did.

Absolutely. I read Tolkien, which led to Linguistics/Languages. It's one of the reasons those are my 'favorite book' answer, even though it's been forever since I've read the books or been in the fandom.
