Right?? With the weirdness of the defendants and witnesses alone, nobody would bat an eyelid at defending a NEXT powered hero for property damage.

Also, the judicial systems in both canons are weirdly arbitrary.
And then there's both the Hero of the Year and the Prosecutor of the Year awards.
