Really? It should be obvious that not everybody is going to like every kind of music. And racist? So they expect you to like all black artists' music, or just hers? What if you liked music by other black artists, but just not Beyonce?

She's just a pop singer, and her music (that she doesn't write) usually sucks. She sing okay, but so do a lot of singers. She doesn't do anything else besides that. I'm a bit baffled why she has this following that somehow exempts her from the usual formula.

Eh, you aren't going to enjoy all musicians; that's to be expected. Sometimes people will look at you funny if you aren't into popular stuff, but at the end of the day it isn't a big deal. If people want to pretend it is then that's their right, but you are fine.

For the record, I don't listen to radio (Well, unless you count 8tracks, which isn't the same) and rarely hear her music. I like some of her (older) songs, but not more than anything else.

Honestly, I feel like this about Jaenelle Monae. Which is awful because I WANT to like her stuff, and I SHOULD, but it just... doesn't do it for me. I'm kinda mad at myself over it, since I LOVE robot shit and she seems like a cool person.

But it's okay to not like her songs. Crazy in Love was my jam but I don't really like her recent stuff. An admitting that shouldn't bring you hate. Perhaps you need to change your circle of friends OP.

I too can appreciate Beyonce's talent. While I personally enjoy her songs, you're free not to! I do however, think she's overrated. I'm just over her. Maybe she's just been over hyped, and the media just goes above and beyond whenever she does or says anything? IJDAS.

I always wished Kelly Rowland would have been as/more successful than Beyonce. I thought she had a better voice and was prettier. I guess the charisma was not in her favor (see Justin Timberlake: his charisma usurped the talent that was JC Chaze or w/e his name was)

I really admire Beyonce, both as a performer and a business woman, but I'm actually not super into her music.

Joining the rest who don't really like her. Which is funny because I love Destiny's Child. I think part of it came from getting sick of seeing her everywhere - the same thing happened with Jennifer Lopez and I'm only now getting to the point where I don't react that way to her.

Plus yeah, her songs really aren't that great.

I have no interest in her as a person or as a musician and I'm really tired of being told she's some kind of a Goddess when she's just mediocre and uninteresting.
