I'm very interested to hear the context of this, OP! What happened in this episode and why does it need fixing?

He needs fixing because his skin is as scaly as a dead crocodile. Nothing could ever enliven it or make him look beautiful.

The guy in the image and another character--the only other character who lasted the whole four seasons alongside him were in a shuttlecraft that had been sabotaged so it was too heavy to reach escape velocity and was going to crash back to the planet. As they tried to lose weight the computer informed the guy that they only needed to lose as much as the other guy weighed in order to make it, and the guy--whose sanity wasn't the best it had ever been due to a long run of Unfortunate Events and who had always been rather self-serving decides to therefore try and throw the other guy out the airlock to save himself, despite all they'd been through together.

IMO, not an OOC moment, but it was gut-wrenching nonetheless because it had been established that he really did care about the other guy... just not as much as he did himself. In the end they found out what was really weighing the ship down and they both survived, but it was pretty much how that relationship left off when the show ended a few episodes later.

Wow that sounds fascinating. Who were the two characters?

Avon is the guy in the pic and the other character is Vila. Avon/Vila is my B7 OTP! I've written fix-it fic, but it's absolutely not gen, heh.
