I've reblogged it, and it's totally true. If you have to be mean to someone, people won't believe that you're a nice, good person anymore. I see it all over fandom, it is what it is. It's not sociopathic by any means.

But the quote isn't saying to treat people nicely because it's the right thing to do. It's saying to treat people nicely so they'll think you're nice when in fact you have the capacity (and apparently the willingness) to destroy them if necessary. THAT'S the weird part a lot of people seem to be missing.
