Honestly, as long as people aren't hating on each other and trying to treat each other better and be better people, I don't give a damn if they're being hypocritical.

Well... leaving aside the fact that being a better person surely encompasses being less of a hypocrite, I'd say that it's still a better idea to acknowledge that what the Bible says about gay people is morally wrong instead of pretending that it doesn't say what it says.

The Bible has a lot of questionable rules. If people were secure enough to openly admit that some of them are terrible ideas that aren't a good fit for our modern society, we'd all be much, much better off.

I'd much rather live in a hypothetical future where Christians will vehemently deny that the Bible is anti-gay, rather than the present, where they use to excuse terrible behaviour.
