Re: Ever have an identity that you've since changed or "matured" out of?

An incomplete list of stuff I've said I was, some more stupid than others:

9/11 truther
Agnostic
Aromantic
Asexual
Bisexual
Demisexual
Grey-A
Parts fetishist (explanation: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/AiKora)
Satanist
Transgender

Yeah, my Internet history is pretty embarrassing. (Side note: for a site about people who aren't into sex, AVEN is obsessed with other people's sex drives.)

I read Citizen You! by Mike Loew, which was pretty much the comprehensive anti-Bush book (and quite funny to boot!) It had everything from Rumsfeld's association with a potentially unhealthy sugar substitute to the birth defects that started appearing in . . . I forget, some Middle Eastern company after the U.S. dumped toxic waste there. It included a lot of stuff poking holes in the official 9/11 account.

I mostly moved away from that after watching the documentary "How the Towers Fell," which interviewed the designer of the World Trade Center. (I guess jet fuel can melt steel beams.) Still, there were a few questions I would have liked to see answered.

hhuh, is that why people say they don't like AVEN?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I felt like they had this conception that anyone who had a sex drive was completely ruled by it. It was like they thought it was impossible and unrealistic for person A, being attracted to person B, to keep it in his pants and not bug person B for sex, and person B's only recourse was to completely avoid person A.
