I have a hard time believing this is even a THING outside of, at most, a few fringe weirdos. If it's an economic/ecological thing, you can make your own reusable, ecologically conservative pads with some scrap fabric and a sewing kit. (Even I could probably do that, and I SUCK at sewing.) Or you can support women-only businesses that make period things, like Mooncup.

Women in other countries suffer health and life problems because of a LACK of menstrual products. To stop using them for a feminist reason sounds completely backasswards to me.

It sounds like a troll to me.
