It was in either Methuselah's Children or To Sail Beyond the Sunset, and I really thoroughly do not want to go back and check which one it is, now, but ol' Lazarus ended up doing the horizontal nasty with his mother and his uncle. Simultaneously.

I am not a fan of Heinlein's crazy years adult writing, but at the time I was reading the reprints, ALL the Heinlein paperbacks were shelved together, so I just kept buying them. Starship Troopers one month, The Number of the Beast the next. Talk about mental whiplash!

Aaaaaand now that my scumbag brain is dredging it up from the furthest abysses I had shoved it into, that bit was from Maureen's POV, so it had to have been in To Sail Beyond the Sunset.

I don't think it can have been in To Sail Beyond the Sunset, though. The only Heinlein I've read - which is the only Heinlein I own - is Time Enough For Love, Citizen of the Galaxy, Stranger in a Strange Land, and Methuselah's Children.

Maybe that kind of thing appears more than once?

IIRC, To Sail Beyond the Sunset and Time Enough for Love had a lot of overlap in plot, just from different POV (Maureen in Sunset, Lazarus in Time). I...don't recall if that scene is in both. But I'm absolutely certain (let me tell you how much I don't want to be certain of this, anon), it was from Maureen's POV.

Also, you need to get yourself copies of The Cat Who Walks Through Walls and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, ASAP, anon. Those are the only adult Heinlein reads I can stomach.
