This secret makes my heart hurt, OP.

As someone who can't draw their way out of a paper sack, I was absolutely shocked when I left fandom for a while, and this cropped up. Back in my day, art gifts were purely to be squee'ed over, not seen as an obligation. The few gifts I did receive (I'm a fanfic writer), I treasure to this day. And we're talking pieces done roughly twenty years ago.

I'm sorry other peoples' insecurity (or should I say, mistrust of people with purely good intentions) made you stop something that likely brought much joy to others.
