For me, it's the senselessness of it. Like, they didn't have to bring them back just to kill them off. I think Ellen in particular brought something to the show. The boys don't really have a lot of mother figures so I was really bummed to see her go.

oh mean. i cried so hard during that scene and, yeah. agreed with the senselessness. uugh.

Yeah, it was definitely pretty senseless. The show is pretty bad about killing off female characters for no reason...hell, they're pretty bad about killing off most characters who aren't Sam and Dean in general. Kevin's death in particular was pretty pointless as well. Come on Supernatural.
