My guy is considerably less interested in sex than I am. He's happy to come play about half the time if I bring it up, but very rarely will he bring it up himself. Doesn't help that I'm naturally disinclined to ask for anything, let alone sex.

We've talked about this. There's still plenty of mutual attraction, the sex is great, we just have different baseline libidos, and we've been together for enough years that the novelty of getting laid again has worn off.

I 100% intellectually know that this is biology and has nothing to do with me, but after years of hearing the stereotype that it's always the man trying to convince the woman to have sex, it's been hard working through the emotional insecurities.

Ugh, that is rough. Stereotypes get in your head and mess you up, and they're ALWAYS stupid.
