I still love the movies, and am really looking forward to Ant-man, Civil War, Black Panther, Thor 3

Arrgh, don't know what happened there, but posted too soon.

I still love the movies and am looking forward to what they will do with the ones that are coming up, especially Civil War and GotG 2, but the negativity and meanness in the fandom is really getting me down. You're horrible if you love this character, and terrible if you don't like that one; you're awful if you ship this pairing and evil if you don't ship that one, problematic if you like this, problematic if you don't like that. And it sucks all the fun out of everything.

That's precisely why I made it a point to stay far, away, and out of the GOTG fandom on the internet, outside of posting fan art in the Tumblr tags and just letting fandom*nature take its course from there. I attribute that disconnect to why I still love the movie as passionately as I do.
