Really? Have you seen his work?

The dude is freaking progressive compared to a lot of Hollywood types, that's why he has fans. And he didn't set out to be the feminist darling. He was a horror/comedy writer who was interested in thematic subversion, and sort of wandered into writing strong, flawed women when some people didn't want women to be strong and other people didn't want women to be flawed.

I think Buffy and Firefly both came out pretty good for TV, however imperfect.

Then you would hop on Tumblr and talk about how you totally told Joss Whedon that he is an asshole and why he isn't a feminist. And how everyone else in the room gave you a standing ovation as you walked out.
