I have this same secret, but applied towards most every TV show that's not animated. I keep thinking to myself when I watch a protagonist "WTF, this person is an asshole, are we really supposed to like them?"

Is it just me, or are TV characters a lot meaner now? ._.

They're supposed to be "edgy"

But, yeah, they're just meaner overall...

Which is why I'm not ashamed to watch the Disney Channel as an adult... (but even those shows can get mean)
