Yeah, AoU was mostly setup for Civil War. And that doesn't really bother me.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-14 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)Like I don't hate Tony or anything, but the having the entire MCU revolve around him and his giant ego, (which was one of the problems I had with aou imo) gets really annoying after a while. There are a whole buttload of characters that are just as, if not more interesting and complex then Tony. Let them have some screentime dammit.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-16 12:13 am (UTC)(link)The problem, though, is that the movie's title is Captain America: Civil War. The Civil War storyline should never have been adapted for a single character's film; it's just too ensemble-y for that. Speaking for myself and my other comic book reading friends, we're not "surprised" by Iron Man's inclusion. Rather, we're disappointed that Marvel didn't let the Captain America films continue rocking their own groove and do Civil War as a separate film (if they really had to do Civil War at all).
