The irony is, I just got done watching the S1 finale and holy fuckballs, do Mary's mom and sister manage to make it ~all about them~ SFM.

Like, her mom fucking FLIPS OUT when Mary sees her singing at the audition, blows her own chances of getting into the show, and has the unutterable nerve to blame Mary for it and accuse Mary of deliberately sabotaging her. Oh, and her mom basically permanently invited herself into Mary's house to start with and contributes fuck-all for expenses.

Then her sister, who also has no job, lands herself (and through no fault of her own, but this kind of shit has a way of spreading) in serious deep shit over a drug deal and expects Mary to fix everything because she's never had to take any real responsibility herself.

And in the end, Mary never really calls either of them out for it to the extent she should have, although she does impress on Brandi that she needs to own her own shit (and to her credit, Brandi does call the lawyer).

So tl;dr: Mary manages to meet her match in the form of two women who impose on her and expect her to handle all the hard stuff. Talk about wow.
