I would rec The Goblin Wood, but an FS poster said the author was an ass to them when they talked about being transsexual. Maybe Goblins: Life Through Their Eyes?

I haven't read it yet so I don't know much in detail, but I hear The Goblin Emperor is good and has a half-elf half-goblin in the lead role.

DA I'm reading this right now and it's my first Actual Proper Fantasy Novel in a thousand years and good golly, SO MANY CHARACTERS. The writing itself is delectable, however, such a good flow to it.
