I am tired of people calling this movie feminist
And that's what I love about this movie. There were so many women characters of every background and they were human. They were messed up. They were insane. They were selfish and selfless. They were brave. They were scared. They were peaceful. They were violent. They were young. They were old. They were damsels in distress. They were knights in shining armor. They were everything and anything.
This is what I want. I want characters of every background. Saints and sinners. They just happen to be women.
On a side note, they have have a 70+ year old actress doing her own stunt riding on a motorcycle. Some people thought it was cruel of Miller to ask someone of her age to do such stunts but the actress was quick to snap that she loved how Miller thought she could handle it. And she had a blast. Because at her age, the entertainment industry is quick to shove her into feeble, frail, grandma knitting in the corner roles. Here she gets to be a gun toting, bike riding bad ass warrior. She loved every second of it. And I love Miller for this. Actresses are tired of being stuck playing the same old love interest or put on housewife or mother stuck at home roles. They want to play action heroes too. If I were an actress, I would have given a vital organ to be in this movie in order to drive a rig and do stunts.
