What did you warn us about, specifically?

That when they swapped Sansa in for Jeyne, they were going to do the same scenes with Sansa that the book had with Jeyne, and it was going to be awful and pointless and the showrunners were going to make asses of themselves while discussing it in interviews.

Yeah. Anyone who knew who they were switching Sansa out for knew this was going to happen. You'd have to be a fucking idiot not to realize, "Huh. This character is taking over this other character's storyline. I guess they won't actually do anything involved in that character's storyline. THAT'D BE SILLY!"

So you warned us about the absolute obvious.

Thanks for that.

errr... how is the scene pointless? If you say yourself that there are bound to be similar scenes to those of jeyne in the books then how is it pointless?
It's the opposite of that, actually, plus it completely goes along with the theme GoT (moreso even than the books) has had from the very beginning: letting the viewers' externalized power (and sex fantasies) fantasies (Ned's gonna triumph... oops. Dany's gonna get that sexy wedding night... oops. Danys Son is gonna... oops. Robb's gonna avenge... oops. Tyrions gonna get what he's earned... oops. Cersei and Jaime are gonna make up and have hot sex... oops. SANSA'S NOW MAGICALLY DARK SANSA AND IN CONTROL ... OOOOOPS.) crumble and build something new from that.
Tbh. since that Jaime-Cersei fiasco of shipper-butthurtness I feel vindicated everytime people freak out like this because it just takes their stupid little clichê fantasies and shoves them in their faces.
Sansa has willingly gone into this situation. Yes, she got more than she bargained for, no, that's not a reason to not call it rape, but it's not like this is gonna be THE EVENT that traumatizes her (or should, so we can see the "appropriate dealing with rape and the fallout"-bullshit). I'd argue that it's hardly the worst thing that's happened to her. And she's gonna be TITLE OF EPISODE through that.

I don't agree that the scene was pointless. I hated the Jaime/Cersei scene that totally was rape. I hated the scenes where rape was filmed in a titillating way. This was not that. This was horrifying and meant to be horrifying (like the scene with Dany in season 1 only filmed to seem even worse).
