MLP. I think some of the new writers are horrible and I'm sick of my favorite character losing all of her development and being made into a joke. But I still think the music is cute and it's otherwise such a happy show. I don't find it very fun anymore, but I'm not following many shows at the moment so I just think "why not."

Every time I complain about it, someone always says something along the lines of this. Yes, the action-packed episodes (ie. the finales/season openings) are still great, I'm just losing interest in the show as a whole. If you were to ask me to tell you the plot of an episode based on its title, I probably wouldn't remember what happened in it. I'm not even mad about Princess Twilight (she deserves her title). It's just that I'm not very excited to watch it anymore.

Plus I don't like how they're treating Rarity. In the earlier seasons, while she would sometimes come off as a bit of a drama queen, she was very generous and considerate. Now they're emphasizing her negative traits, making her very self-centered, whiny, and naggy. In recent episodes, if she has a line or two, it's usually some kind of complaint or smart remark (which is usually 1-upped by AJ). And I really thought "Simple Ways" was a horrible episode.

I know a lot of people still enjoy the show, but the magic that kept me hooked through seasons 1-3 is just gone. You can only do so much with a slice of life show. I would say after this season, they should call it quits, but with another season confirmed, I don't know what they're going to do to drag it out.

See this is where I completely disagree re:Rarity. She still comes off as a pretty flawed, but fullfilling character. And she has ALWAYS been a drama queen/materialistic. And I feel her negative traits haven't been that magnified.
