That show made me fall in love with Fred, who I always found to be boring as a kid. He became my fave.

I never expected a Scooby Doo show to be good, much less make me like those two, much more even less together. Everyone should watch Mystery Inc. imo.

I agree with both this secret, and cloud_riven's comment. Admittedly, the first half of the first season isn't the strongest, but it's a really good show!

Are they canon in this show? Just curious. (Original Scooby Doo got on my nerves so much that I don't think I will watch this, but I'm pretty sure Fred and Daphne were canon in it)

You might actually like this series. It's really good and the characters actually have..well, character. In here Fred is really dense and obsessed with traps (hah) and eventually smartens up about Daphne's feelings. It's only two seasons and has an over arching plot. It also explains why the original series was the way it was. (This one takes place in an AU that merges with the first timeline)

I don't watch the show, but I know that good writing can make almost any pairing work.

That's my philosophy behind writing a crack!fic. It doesn't matter if Batman is a lone avenger of the night, while Pinkie Pie is a pink horse that makes parties for her friends. You can still make it work.
