who's an actor or actress you find hot in only one role that does nothing for you in any other role? what role is that and why?

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock. He has only ever been hot to me as Sherlock (though I do think he is a great actor in most of his movies). It is the hair plus the attitude I think. I like asshole good guys, I blame Vegeta.

Sebastian Stan in The Winter Soldier. I didn't find him attractive at all until then. Hell, as I walked into the theater my sister was like, "Do you find him hot?" And I was like, nah. At the end of the movie I looked at my sister and was like, "Fuck."

Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner.

I went on a massive Mark Ruffalo binge in the time between the first Avengers movie and AoU, and have discovered that he's shown up in movies I've seen before, but I didn't notice him or think he was attractive until the Avengers.

Paddy Considine in The World's End

Tom Hiddleston. After Thor 2 I went and watched everything he was in. I even watched Muppet Most Wanted in theaters because I was so into him at that moment.

I'm far too damned hyped for Crimson Peak considering it's five month away.

Michael Rooker as Yondu in GOTG.

Now I'm slowly, but surely making my way through his filmography -mostly hitting the notable roles in movies first- and boy, he was really kind of adorable-looking in the late 80's/early 90's. It's also weird seeing him with actual hair, too.

(It will be... some time before I even attempt the first three seasons of 'The Walking Dead', though, ahaha)

Robert Carlyle as Rumpelstiltskin. Only there's still plenty of his work where I'm like "yeah, you're a great actor, but for some reason I only find you hot when you look like a lizard rolled in glitter."

I always liked Hugh Laurie but it wasn't till he played House that I found him sexy.

Hugh Dancy in Hannibal, mostly because I haven't seen him in any other role where he has an American accent. When he uses his natural one, it's just so... off to me. I never knew who he was before Hannibal, so maybe that's the problem?

Tom Hardy in Mad Max. I never really thought he was unattractive in his previous roles, but he's never really done anything for me before. I thought he was hot as fuck in Mad Max though. I don't know if I just like him when he's dirty and scruffy looking, but I would crawl through broken glass to tap that

Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil

Harrison "Han Solo makes my girl bits tingle" Ford.

He does nothing for me in any other role, but even those three seconds of old Han Solo in the latest trailer made me thrilled.

Sylvester McCoy as the 7th Doctor too, it helps that his other roles are kinda gross, but his 7th Doctor in Doctor Who makes me all googly eyed.

Hmm...maybe Henry Cavill as Superman? And I didn't even like the film that much (didn't hate it like most people did either, it was just okay), but he was hot in the suit. Or, really, more hot when he was casually breaking out of his handcuffs than any other time in the film. Something about his arrogant smirk...hot damn.

Like, objectively I look at him and go "He's perfect", but he does nothing for me outside that role.

Not sure how much this counts because I haven't really seen him in anything else, but Sam Heughan looks amazing as Jamie Fraser in Outlander but does not do a thing for me whatsoever in any of his interviews.

I think it's the hair/styling.

Cumberbatch as Kahn. Which is stupid because I hate that they had him in that role. But my villain thing coupled with that voice coupled with him being somewhat attractive in that role just gets me. I don't find him hot anywhere else.

Hiddleston as Loki, but only in the first Avengers movie. I don't like the character, and I mostly don't find Hiddleston hot or even Loki hot except in that one movie.

Cumberbatch as Sherlock is the main one, I think it's the dark hair that does it tbh because I think he looks okay to me as Khan too.

Chris Hemsworth in Thor, especially Thor 2.

Stuart Townsend as Lestat in Queen of the Damned = SUPER SEXY

Stuart Townsend in anything else = stake him

Peter Falk in The Great Race.

Had a crush on him in that role before I knew what crushes WERE.
Also totally shipped him with the Professor before I knew what shipping was.
