WWE featuring a specific character THAT DOESN'T SUCK.

The best fic featuring him is actually rpf, not character-fic, and it's reader insert to boot. And it's still the best fic there is, so I've read it like five times. That's not even counting my fic, which is the only long canon compliant fic featuring him, though I don't think I'd call it the best seeing as it's not that great of a fic and was pretty much pure self-indulgent smut. I've been avoiding trawling for.net, but I might have to.

Mine too. And I suck at writing, so I can't just write it myself, which is what people always tell you to do in this situation.

I wrote my own and it's really not as as satisfying even if you're a half-way decent writer.

And sometimes you're craving a genre you're just not good at.

I love whodunnits, but it's really hard to pull it off. And I just realized is two-in-one in this case since part of the fun is trying to solve it along with the characters, so yeah.

I've tried, repeatedly, throwing out for a prompt to at least help me jumpstart a plot (I suck at plots) but nobody ever responds.

Try being in CoD fandom and having the OTP I have. Not only does the fic not exist, no one else but my gf even ships it. Ever.

Lol. I feel you. I literally have the only fic for my current pairing on AO3 - a pairing I actually thought other people shipped, and, would I have known it wasn't as popular as I thought, I would have not gotten so into it.

I feel you. My OTP right now is a basically unheard of pairing in a not-terribly-active older fandom, so there's no hope for me whatsoever. I might try writing it myself, and I've been getting art commissions of it from time to time, but it's terribly lonely, haha.

All the fic I want to read lately is for dead fandoms. As in, what little fic there ever was is in pre-internet zines, that sort of dead. I feel your pain.
