I have the same issue with my glasses and it's a pain in the ass. Checking around, it seems that there might be something in the anti-reflective coating that makes lenses more prone to picking up smudges (although I don't know whether there are different types of that coating that might be worse than others).

I've had this pair over a year and I keep it under control with occasional washes with warm water and a little dish soap, and the microfibre cloth in between. I haven't seen any noticeable effect on the coating or the lenses, but again, I have no idea if there are variations in the coating ingredients whereby some might react to the soap more than others.

Make sure the cloth itself is also as clean as it can be, though. I've found that otherwise you're just pushing the smudge around the lens instead of cleaning it off. Stick to using one side of the cloth for the lenses and one side for contact with your fingers so that the cloth doesn't pick up oils or lint etc. And give the cloth itself a wash/replace it every so often.
