I'm worried about a male gazey Ciri, because that's just...wrong. So far her design looks good, but I haven't gotten the game yet, so who knows.
Also, we've had shirtless Geralt before. I don't know if you've seen that, but you might want to. I thought it VERY nice, but some people aren't into what he's got, I guess.

I can't figure out how old she is, because she's tiny and her voice is young but she has a quite grown-up face design. :/ Like, compare Ellie from TLoU: She's fourteen, not prepubescent, but her face still looks noticeably young.

i've been playing the game since launch and i can assure you that ciri's portrayal is not really male gaze-y, and that ciri, plain and simple, kicks ass.

(and the game loves to give you numerous excuses to see geralt shirtless, which i appreciate.)

It's male gazey because the series is male gazey. It is the epitome of an old-school cRPG with all that entails -- and a lot of the same kind of fans.

This is the series that gave us nude paintings of the female characters that Geralt banged.

y'know, i agree with you. i've been playing the game quite a lot since release and it is pretty male-gazey. even the shots with geralt nude/shirtless they neverrrr show his ass or the junk. the sex scenes are always the women writhing around with shots of their tits and so on, and i demand to see powerful thrusting thighs :c

THAT SAID: so far, 3 has done so much better in terms of not super gross about stuff. like, it's not perfect by any means, but i get the feeling the devs have listened to a lot of the criticism they've gotten and have at least tried to rectify things.

it is an excellent game so far, i really recommend it. plus, he looks even better ingame.
