Never watched the movie...
(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 02:19 am (UTC)(link)I've never seen the movie before, so maybe the above is not true. But I have seen the previous two movies in the trilogy, and they did tackle issues like the NSA surveillance controversy in it's own form (Morgan Freeman was pissed at Batman for hacking into everybody in Gotham's cellphone in order to find the Joker), and was pro-government surveillance. It also romanticized Batman as someone that the law doesn't apply to, with legal laws presented as a hindrance and nuissance that prevents Batman from being able to stop the bad guy, or do cool stuff, which is a pretty right wing way to look at them.
There are legitimate reasons to complain about the film, but I hope people are complaining about the politics, instead of something stupid like how an actor wears an obnoxious color of tie or something. :p
