I didn't know he's the product of an over-bearing stage mother? I'd like to hear more about that. And in what ways is she directing his life? And what kind of connections do the Evanses have to Hollywood? Which dark secrets is his home town hiding? So many questions...

Lisa Evans: couldn't make it to the big time. Fades off and tries to live through her kids. Between Carly, Chris, and Scott, Chris was the one easiest to mold into an acceptable public image. There's political connections, there's old tv/movie former connections of Lisa's. Lots of "leg up" shots. Chris loves the perks of being a celebrity enough to put with the hard shit. Except, to keep that, he has to play along, do as Lisa says. Put up a front of wanting a stay at home wife, be a player while he's still young, stop dating woc (he was very into them until he got famous enough that he was told to stick to white women), rough house as much as he wants with other guys but don't do anything too "bi" because the family already has a gay son, that's Scott's role, just like Carly's role is mother/acting teacher. I'm not sure if they consider the youngest a lost cause or what since she's never been pulled into anything more difficult than dutiful baby sister.

Scott's current assignment is taking the fall whenever Chris fucks ups and gets too obvious with his cocaine usage. By orders of Lisa Evans. Sad, sad situation. The family puts up with it because Chris is only still where he is because of her, and if Chris isn't earning the fame and money, the family won't get shit.

I read that as Lily Evans first and then a giant weird Harry Potter crossover spawned in my mind.

Lol! Lisa Evans could train Molly Weasley an entire book on managing your family!

Since ghosts are canon in the HPverse, imagine everything happening except Lily is a ghost who refuses to move on until Harry milks his fame and celebrity.

I. . .would read the hell out of that.

(Especially if it had the bonus of Snape seeing Lily as a creepy stage mum and getting the tiniest bit over her.)

Also, stage mum Ghost!Lily + Rita Skeeter = AMAZING. Actually, stage mum Ghost!Lily is pretty amazing with anyone--Molly, Dumbledore, Sirius, Lockhart. . .

Be real, do you work for the national enquirer?

Who would have thought Tony and Clint were a thing? They hide their love well!

(Anon really does sound like they've been reading too much national enquirer though, lol.)

They sound like a SPN Tinhatter.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
So did you get all this from National Enquirer or Weekly World News?

Not really dark secrets. He's a huge whore, despite his comments, doesn't want a wife and kids, just wants to fuck around forever, and his Massachusetts hook ups, many many many, are willing to keep quiet for him and let him do as he likes so long as he keeps talking lovingly of Sudsbury and Boston.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Is whore necessary? Who cares who/how many people he fucks as long as it's consensual?

Is the issue that he lies about wanting a wife and kids? Because I don't think it's necessarily wrong to not want them, but I could agree that trying to hide that fact would be off-putting.

(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
I thought free love was a okay as long as all parties involved said yes, preferably in writing. Has something changed? Did New Puritanism sweep the nation when I was taking a nap?

(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
And...why shouldn't he do just that if he's not hurting anyone? Since when did not having a wife and kids make you a bad person?

(Anonymous) 2015-05-30 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
By this definition I'm a bad person. I definitely lie about it to my family all the time.
