Same, he is Steve to me. Maybe I have an easy time seperating the actor from the character, but imo he's perfect in the role.

I like how he comes across in interviews, and I like him in other roles. Sure he's hot, but not many people in Hollywood aren't. Doesn't mean an actor can't be intelligent or pull off playing an intelligent character.

(Now is Chris super intelligent? No idea. But I'm not either. *shrugs*)

I never really have trouble separating characters and actors because I always care about the character more so that's who I focus on, plus I tend to associate Evans with a beard rather than him being clean-shaven so that's another level of separation for me.

Yeah he comes off as nice enough, and I don't know the guy so I really can't speculate as to what he's like away from the cameras, only his close friends and family know that. (And really I am not here to listen to his thoughts on topics, I just want to stare at his face).

(Posts like this make me glad I'm not famous or in the public eye because I'm pretty scatter-brained and easily distracted so I'd come off like the biggest dumbass).

Yea, I like certain actors well enough but of course when you're watching a movie or TV show it's all about the characters themselves. (Evans is gorgeous with a beard, but he certainly looks nothing like Cap.)

See, I wouldn't mind listening to him talk but it isn't high on my list of things I need. And I realize that celebs are people so he probably says and does stupid shit like everyone else, but as long as he isn't revealed as a massive douche I will probably continue to like him.

Exactly. Having all that attention and judgement on you day in and day out would be terrible. The money must be nice, but other than that...

I do find it interesting to hear an actor's take on a scene or character, because I find it cool to see what their head-space is on the whole thing, but other than that my like of actors is usually pretty shallow. :P

While the money would be amazing I would never be able to handle the lack of privacy, that much scrutiny would be nightmarish to me.
