4 - After hearing the dub, I'm almost inclined to agree. The art may be ugly as sin, but I rarely laugh so hard during a show these days.

10 - AHHH BRI-CHAN~ XD I swear, she could get me to ship just about anything, I LOVE her art style!

27 - ugh god. Sadly, I did not realize Avatar-fandom was THIS wanky. I mean, I knew it came close, but cripes...then again, I stay in my own little Zuko/Song corner where few people come to bother us and plenty of curious folks step in and decide they love us. XD It makes me glad I find almost all the canon ships BORING AS SIN.

39 - I am so glad I dropped out of the Inuyasha fandom early. Of course, the fanbrats made it easy--I'll take the intellectually stimulating Kikaider over Inuyasha anyday. =p Really, the idea of the story was pretty novel at first, but then she kept going on and on AND ON AND ON with it--Inuyasha is forever wibbling between two girls, neither of which are particularly intersting, IMHO; Naraku NEVER dies, there's always more demon-spawn anyway--hell, I've even started to hate how it looks, because, really, when you look at it, the only difference in some of the characters is the hair-style!

Screw you, Takahashi--I will never touch your shit again, lest it continue on for OVER TEN YEARS WITHOUT GOING ANYWHERE.

You chose wisely when they were handing out ships. You've managed to avoid all the wanky ones. (Agreed on all the canon ships being so painfully boring. Although I do enjoy shipping Sokka with THE WORLD. He's cute that way.)

I was also fortunate to join just after the Song-hate died down a bit. Jesus Christ, the girl is the first one to make an honest attempt at trying to help and care for Zuko, and fandom was ready to tear her limb from limb! They didn't even care that she saved Iroh's life...;_;

Sokka/Yue was ok, but again, Sokka just has such a big heart, you can ship him with just about anyone and be ok--chances are, IT ALL HAS THE PLAUSIBILITY TO BECOME CANON AT SOME POINT. XD

I like the lesser known ships--Teo/Toph? Sure! Longshot/Smellerbee, plz to be coming back! Kataang--meh. I guess it's cute. Maiko? Yawn. With a side of bleh.

Somewhere, deep inside, I want Zuko/Song to become canon just to throw everyone for a loop. XD I would totally forgive M&B for the crap they handed us as the first half of S3.

AW! Man, I haven't heard from another Zuko/Song 'shipper in a long time! <3

I'm not big on the canon 'ships or the ones in the big war... I just like whoring off Zuko (with Song, Jin, Aang, AND Toph). I think the only one that I'm really enthusiastic about is Toph/Zuko.

WHUT. YOU SHIP THAT TOO? AWESOME.

Srsly, if the fandom scares you, that's fine, don't join Distant Horizons--but plz, stop by our first page for all the fanworks. We've seriously collected a buttload and we keep adding to it ALL THE TIME. XD

Toph/Zuko is better as a platonic relationship for me, but lord, the dynamics are AWESOME.

O rly? I shall definitely check it out. I don't get intimidated by fandom so much as exasperated with it from time to time. I love it too much most of the time to ditch it.

I was actually the same way about it until I started working on this whole Post-Aang twelve years after the series fic wherein Toph is one of the Earth King's top ranking generals and is the diplomatic go-between for the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom. I've been working more with a spin off of that fic and their dynamics and interactions are working much better than I'd expected... It's kind of writing itself.

Fandom irks me at times too, but if I ever get too riled up (it rarely happens), I back off until I can have fun again. That's something a lot of fanbrats seem to forget is that fandom is supposed to be for fun. =\

I would not mind repetition if she kept things consistently interesting but she doesn't. Despite my anger at Takahashi I really don't agree with most of the comment but that's fine.

That's fine--I'm sure I'm just a bit bitter, I think I was just mad that an anime that both my mother and I started off liking turned out so...so poorly. =(
