I could have written this secret.

For me, the anxiety comes from the guilt and the fact that in the intervening time I've pretty much fallen out of fandom in general.

Like you I never intended to abandon the fics; they were always in the back of my mind as something I needed to finish, but I don't know whether I can go back to these characters now and still pick up the tone/feel of the fic. If it's going to sound obvious that I'm no longer invested in the show and the characters then I think it's probably best that I leave it unfinished.
