I grew up in the Philippines where we started out with a car but switched to an SUV quickly after our first rainy season where the flood water sometimes was up to the car windows. That is a useful reason for an SUV.

Also they are probably useful if you do a lot of off-road driving.

Other than those reasons, though, they aren't useful. So most of the time I do judge people with them.

Well, I'm not going to lie... if you're the sort of person who does offroading for sport I'm probably also going to judge you.

If it's job related or the roads are nonexistent, I might give it a pass.
